Our Clients’ Energy, Telecoms and Utilities division is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect within the Energy Market to further innovate and deliver solutions for new and existing customers.

The Energy, Utilities and Telecoms (EUT) business unit shapes and delivers solutions at the heart of GB water and energy markets. Our client advises on, formulates, delivers and services some of the largest and most business-critical programmes in the sector.

This encompasses all aspects of the value chain from upstream generation/production, through networks infrastructure and wholesale markets to downstream B2C and B2B supply and smart metering.

Our Energy Retail team is expanding to further deliver and innovate solutions for existing and new clients. You will work with a wide range of companies including the “Big 6” energy suppliers, major independents and new entrants.

 

Your future duties and responsibilities

As a Solution Architect you will help Energy Retailers establish and grow their businesses.

You will be delivering consulting assignments to our clients’ new and existing clients by providing deep specialist knowledge of the Electricity and Gas Retail markets, and the associated software products and solutions that our client is able to offer.

There will be a strong importance on consulting “new entrant” suppliers, and the role will necessitate individuals to be mobile within the UK to visit client sites as and when required

 

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To be effective in this role you will have a profound knowledge of energy supply businesses operating in the GB market; likely gained from senior operational roles in the big six or comparable retailers.

You will also have a demonstrable track record of managing and delivering solution architectures for large scale IT solutions as part of bespoke, package, and service implementations.

TOGAF knowledge would be highly desirable. You will hold an active network of senior relationships and contacts in the industry. Your knowledge of current and future industry and regulatory change will also be comprehensive.

This role is perfect for a motivated self-starter that can work autonomously, in projects and teams with limited supervision. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are vital as is the ability to communicate and engage at all stakeholder levels.
