As part of continued and consistent double-digit growth our client is again looking to strengthen the team in Europe. We are therefore seeking to recruit senior level consultants capable of developing new business and delivering complex system integration projects to the highest
level. The role has a European wide responsibility and can be based in any country, assuming strong transportation and aviation links.

The sector is in an era of huge transition and we are consistently seeing a convergence of technologies and verticals in this area. It is therefore important to have a broad understanding of the digital transition across the sector.

You will bring industry knowledge, world class capability, innovation and cutting-edge technology to our client and their customers in the Utilities industry to deliver business value.

 Working with leading Utilities clients, major customers and suppliers to develop and execute global strategies, manage complex transmission and distribution initiatives and integrate transmission and distribution solutions to meet changing business challenges and regulations

You will:

serve as a cyber security expert and leverage knowledge in multiple cyber security domains to lead and drive cyber security initiatives for Utilities clients and build cyber security capabilities and skills within the practice

be an innovative thinker capable of shaping a value proposition and winning and delivering strategic transformation projects. You will have a passion for technology and the energy sector.

work with clients to ensure adequate security solutions are in place throughout all T&D systems and platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and local regulatory requirements

apply specific experience to developing optimal Utilities T&D centric processes and implementing robust solutions including Cyber Security, Industrial IoT Security, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distribution Management System (DMS), Meter Data Management System (MDMS), Automated Meter Reading Infrastructure (AMR/AMI), Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) while minimizing integration costs and maximizing flexibility

speak fluent English and Spanish

be happy to be based in Spain with a slight preference for Madrid

Ideally you will possess the following:

Specific experience of cyber security consulting within the Transmission & Distribution, Generation or Utilities sectors

Extensive experience of working in Cyber Security with advanced knowledge of cyber security domains such as penetration testing, security assessment, GRC implementation, security strategy and

A B.Tech / B.E. / B.S.E from a Tier 1 institute, MBA from a Tier 1 institute (preferred)

Technical certifications that would be advantageous but not mandatory:

  • Professional security certification, such as a SANS GIAC, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • SAP Certification (IS-Utilities)

The ideal candidate will have circa 5+ years experience in developing complex applications and one or two years with Bitcoin and/or Ethereum platform development. The role

As a Senior consult you’ll often be required to;

  • Work with C-suite at our clients to orchestrate strategies where to best leverage cutting edge/cloud based enterprise architecture for the greatest strategic impact/ competitive advantage.
  • Help CTO/CIOs define and implement a comprehensive, agile blueprint to transform the infrastructure that underpins their digital IT strategy, as well as form and execute the security strategy needed to help clients proactively minimize risk.
  • Harness value creation for our clients; positioning their IT to deliver business value and support future growth through Infrastructure transformation
  • Define and carve out solutions to solve client business problems that take advantage of new Cloud based techniques to host data, networks and overall infrastructure.
  • Developing and managing CIO/CTO and other C-suite client relationships; advising and selling work through the relationships forged.
  • Undertaking sales origination, including working with internal teams in identifying opportunities to grow a successful practice.
  • Providing Program and Project Services focusing on ‘new IT’ methods and tools (e.g. Agile/ Scrum, DevOps, Design Thinking).
  • Advising our clients how to organise for a transformed enterprise architecture that harness cloud based solutions to enable the digital business

Required Capabilities

  • Proven ability to shape and lead IT transformation through provision of strategy, consulting, digital and technology and operations services in collaboration with our internal and external partners.
  • An ability to identify opportunities for value creation based on your deep understanding of Infrastructure transformation and optimisation, such as; data centre optimisation/ automation, Cloud implementations, Network/ Workplace/ Operations Transformations and Security Transformation including risk, Cyber security, and security analytics and Active Defence.
  • A passion and commitment to New Technologies in Infrastructure and/or security transformation and a drive to influence the way these are evolving and delivered.
  • An ability to challenge a client's thinking by diplomatically providing an objective and independent point of view.
  • Ability to effectively communicate the implications of complex technical concepts to senior, non-technical audiences.
  • Experience of defining and delivery IT transformation strategy integrating ‘new’, next generation Technologies into organisations’ landscape.
  • Experience at leading complex programs and projects using new IT methods & tools (Agile/ DevOps/ Design thinking).
  • Understanding of the Resources industry (Energy, Utilities, Chemicals and Natural Resources).
  • Clear understanding of key methodologies, approaches and market trends in the industry.

  • Confidence in presenting challenging points of view to Director- and Executive-level clients (i.e. CTO/CIO).

Base salary up to £75,000 for Consultant and to £90,000 for Manager level plus bonus, Car Allowance and industry leading benefits package
