Additional information:

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Production Manager in Tours, France and reporting to the Global Operations Director. The role will lead the entire production facility specialising in the manufacture of Electrical Drives and Industrial Power Systems to the highest standards of engineering and quality.

You will manage a team of 50 comprising supply chain, quality and a team of skilled engineers and assembly technicians. You will need a solid educational background in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years’ experience of leading a shop floor operation in a similar technology environment.

You will:

  • Lead by example

  • Drive improvements in production, quality, throughput, profitability and safety and implement the core values of teamwork, employee involvement, and continuous improvement

This is an outstanding opportunity to work at the cutting edge of data analytics and artificial intelligence in the energy and utilities sector. You will help influence customer behaviour as we transition towards the energy market of the future.

We are therefore seeking to engage with experts in data analytics and AI with experience of applying these disciplines to the energy and utilities sector. You will ideally have worked on or have a strong understanding of smart meter data or electrical network management solutions or a similar sector such as telecommunications network management.

Knowledge and experience in providing SaaS and of Cloud based technologies such as MS Azure, AWS, Google or similar solution is essential.

You must be fluent in both English and Italian. You must be an excellent and confident communicator and you must have a passion for this sector.

The job

Our client are looking for a Head of Metering to join our rapidly growing energy start-up and take ownership of all things metering – both Smart and legacy.

Our client have a unique relationship with a meter operator (MOP) and meter asset manager (MAM) meaning they’re one of the leading installers of Smart meters in the UK.  Directly reporting to the Head of Industry Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a Brighton based team of metering specialists. 

You will take responsibility for every part of the Smart meter customer journey.  If you haven’t worked in a role connected to metering UK Energy Supplier, this might not be the role for you.  Our client are specifically looking for candidates with detailed understanding of meter exchange processes. If you’ve got experience with Junifer CRM, Morrisons Data Services USS, Secure Smart meters or the DCC then all the better. This Management role is also expected to take the lead in change decisions and work with the Head of Industry Operations on setting the department strategy.

You’ll be in charge of delivering a key target for the business – for 90% of our clients’ customers to have a Smart meter by 2020.  You’ll develop and deliver strategies and processes to meet this target, ensuring efficiency and a great customer experience.  Working with our client’s partner meter operator, you’ll build simple and effective processes that make life easy for employees and customers.  As our client progresses to a nationwide rollout of SMETS v2 Smart meters, this role will be instrumental in their success.

The ideal candidate will have circa 5+ years experience in developing complex applications and one or two years with Bitcoin and/or Ethereum platform development. We would like Solidity programming and languages like Java, Javascript or Python. You will also have a deep knowledge of cryptography and computer security. You must be fluent in English with German an advantage.
