FINANCIAL DIRECTOR (m/f/d)

Die Position

Das Venture im Bereich Solarenergie ist auf der Suche nach einer erfahrenen Leitung seines Finanzbereichs.

Diese hat aktuell folgende Aufgaben:

• Investor Relations

• Asset Finanzierung

• Buchhaltung und Zahlungsverkehr

• Controlling

Aufgaben

• Entwicklung der Abteilung in eine Struktur mit 4 Bereichen (siehe oben)

• Weiterer Ausbau des Finanzteams (Recruiting)

• Weiterentwicklung der Asset Finanzierungsstrategie in Abstimmung mit dem CEO

• Entwicklung der Finanzierungsstrategie in Abstimmung mit dem CEO

• Pflege der Investorenbeziehungen insbesondere auf Seite der Asset-Investoren

• Aufbau eines professionellen Controllings

• Digitalisierung und Optimierung von Prozessen im Finanzbereich

• Umsetzung der Unternehmenswerte (grün/nachhaltig, performance-orientiert, partnerschaftlich,

motiviert) in Personal- und Führungskultur als Vorbildfunktion

• Motivation, Förderung und Weiterentwicklung der Mitarbeiter

• Sicherstellung eines den Gesetzmäßigkeiten entsprechenden Buchhaltungsablaufes in den Bereichen

Finanz-, Anlagen- Lohnbuchhaltung

• Mitarbeit bei der Erstellung der Geschäftsplanung

• Planung und Koordinierung der Jahresabschlussarbeiten für Gesellschaften der Unternehmensgruppe

bzw. der von dem Venture betreuten Gesellschaften

Das Profil

• Umfangreiche Kenntnisse mit strukturierten Finanzierungen, der Entwicklun und Implementierung

eines Controlling-Systems sowie umfassende Transaktionserfahrungen, nachgewiesen durch

mehrjährige Berufserfahrung

• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Leitung von Teams

• Ausgezeichnete Organisations- und Motivationsfähigkeiten bei Unternehmenswachstum

• Fähigkeit, in einem dynamischen (agilen) Umfeld, mit flachen Hierarchien durch offene

Kommunikation und respektvollen Umgang zu führen

• Kooperative und kommunikative Persönlichkeit, im Einklang mit den Werten

You will be responsible for

  • Project management and delivery as a Subject Matter Expert in Energy Storage. Such projects are likely to include data analysis, technical due diligence, modelling, report writing, client advisory, presentations etc.

  • Building strong relationships with external customers - gathering and following through new leads to clear proposals and contractual agreement

  • Building strong networks with colleagues and industry stakeholders to build competency and share knowledge

  • Business Development

  • Provision of professional guidance and leadership both internally and externally

  • Tracking and responding to new industry/market developments

Key performance indicators:

  • Proven ability to work on a diverse range of projects within the smart energy arena

  • Deep Energy Storage experience

  • Experience of electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, V2G, V2X etc.

  • Demonstrable client project delivery experience

  • Proactive in identifying smart energy market issues and business opportunities

  • Existing industry contacts and relationships

Additional information:
Travel can be expected to other offices and to UK client sites. International travel may be required on occasion. Estimated travel required: 15-20%.

Qualification/experience:

  • Degree and professional working background in engineering

  • Knowledge/prior involvement in energy storage systems and applications

  • Understanding of technical/regulatory and market/economic aspects transmission and distribution systems, and associated network connection, management and control activities

  • Organised with strong attention to detail in managing projects.

  • Ability to work effectively with engineering organisations and customers/stakeholders representing our client to best effect, on both a technical and commercial basis.

  • Possess good interpersonal skills and be a confident and clear communicator at all levels.

  • Have high level planning and organisation skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Team player, able to work both individually and on team projects.

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop Grid scale renewable projects from first principles through to delivery and go-live

The candidate will have:

  • Experience: around 10 years

  • Knowledge in Smart grids, Energy Storage, Microgrids, SCADA Control and monitoring DER + Storage and Telecommunications

  • Experience in the delivery of PV plants with Storage

  • Fluent English essential with Spanish, French or another language is a plus

  • Availability to travel worldwide

Our German client is a leading global renewable energy developer, service supplier, wholesaler and energy solutions provider, and is strategically investing in new and emerging markets. They are growing their office in Bangkok as the regional operational hub for the fast growing Asia region.

To join the team in Bangkok they are looking immediately for a Head of Finance/Controlling APAC.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reporting to the global head of Finance/Controlling in Munich, Germany, and the APAC management team in Bangkok

• Responsibility for controlling, accounting, cash management, tax, risk management, IFRS accounting and consolidation from a regional perspective

• Coordination of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements on individual company and regional level in accordance with IFRS

• Securing regional planning processes and forecasting

• Investment and profitability calculations, analysis of deviations and risk assessments

• Regional cash management including FX-hedging

• Processing of tax-related issues

• Close cooperation with the headquarter, the APAC subsidiaries, as well as acting as point of contact for auditors, tax advisers and business consultants

• Continual improvement of tools and processes within the area of responsibility

YOUR SKILLS

• CPA, ideally with an MBA degree

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in professional accounting/controlling or in an auditing firm with extensive leadership responsibility

• Audit-proof knowledge of IFRS and very good understanding of financial reports and analysis

• Must be IT-savvy

• Very good English skills

• High sense for intercultural awareness, overseas experience is preferable

• Willing to manage a team and to travel

• Strong in communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

• Innovative, driven and independent thinker who thrives in a dynamic and multi-faceted environment
