Metering Supply Chain Manager
Our client’s purpose is to create a more sustainable future through coupling energy supply with innovative technology solutions. They are well-funded, start-up energy supplier and entering a growth-stage. They are now seeking an experienced supply chain manager with a background in the UK energy supply industry to manage the delivery, via third-party partnerships, to deliver their smart metering deployment obligation
Manage the delivery of the business’s smart meter deployment obligation through 3rd party partnerships.
Manage the creation and maintenance of a collaborative rolling supply chain deployment forecast / delivery planning process to ensure conformance with regulatory obligations.
Manage supply chain conformance with regulatory obligations with respect to safety, customer service and data integrity whilst adhering to budgetary commitments.
Manage key internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to the development and delivery of the business’s Strategic Objectives.
Flexibility is a key requisite.
Deliver the Smart Metering Deployment obligation through 3rd party partnerships.
Health and Safety; ensure all activities including that of contractors are carried out in a safe way that protects our customers, staff, contractors and the general public whilst adhering to regulatory standards.
Ensure a quality customer service ethos, is imbedded across our service providers and SMICOP compliance is constantly achieved.
Specify, setup and manage a collaborative supply chain capacity and stock forecasting / management process to ensure compliance with Smart Metering deployment obligations.
Financial governance; ensure £30m of contractor payments comply with good corporate governance and are underpinned by receipt of associated market messages.
Manage our 3rd party delivery partners, by developing and implementing a robust suit of Key Performance Indicators.
Manage Smart deployment planned versus actual management and regulatory reporting.
Manage the collation, investigation and required remedial action and contractual liquidated damages as appropriate.
Manage and develop strong relationships between internal and external stakeholders.
Drive metering deployment efficiency improvement through the application of continuous improvement, engaging external partners and internal stakeholders.
Manage discretionary demand for metering services to minimise unnecessary metering service activity.
Manage the development of metering deployment systems and processes as appropriate to maximise efficiencies for the business.
Represent the business on selected industry boards as required.
Support the successful establishment of the business within GB
Become a key member of the metering management team.
5+ years’ experience of managing metering deployment for gas and electricity
Proven track record in delivering exceptional metering deployment performance
Deep understanding of gas and electricity smart metering products and associated deployment issues
Deep understanding of metering installation safety and associated codes of practice
Demonstrate excellent negotiating, interpersonal and communication skills
Analytical mind-set with strong excel skills
Deep understanding of metering supply chain forecasting and management
Change, problem solving and continuous improvement skills with an ability to motivate project teams
Comfortable presenting to and engaging with stakeholders at all levels
Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams delivering continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to concurrently manage multiple small-scale operational projects
Knowledge of contractor work management systems
