LEAD BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT UK

Our client, a leading ev charging company, is growing quickly and has ambitious business development ambitions for the UK, targeting 200 charging stations across the country in the next five years. As part of his UK Network Development team, you will have a business development role that is a unique opportunity to shape the future of electric mobility in the country.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and growing a pipeline of station location opportunities that will meet the needs of the future EV fleet across the United Kingdom

  • Developing mutually beneficial location deals with property owners across private and public sectors

  • Working with the client’s legal team to draft, negotiate and close location contracts

  • Engaging with developers, energy companies, utilities, government bodies at all levels, and other charging companies to develop opportunities and strengthen the market

  • Working closely with the construction and operations teams to improve all aspects of service delivery

  • Sharing knowledge and learning across the client’s European operations

  • Where appropriate, representing the client in engagement with Government

Requirements

  • Excellent communication to stakeholders across a range of backgrounds

  • Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external parties

  • Evidence of successful business development in the UK, from lead development through to close

  • You have a network of contacts and relationships across relevant sectors

  • Strong project and time management skills

  • Able to work independently and self-starting

  • Able to learn and adapt extremely quickly

  • Eagerness to get involved in / problem-solve in other disciplines

  • Willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done

  • A hands on, startup mentality

  • UK resident

  • A full, valid UK driving license

As part of continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and target-driven sales & business development professional with a knowledge of the German energy supply industry, to drive growth and promote our client’s portfolio across the region in what is, currently, a very attractive market environment.

A proven track record and significant experience of energy management, smart metering are essential to this role. In addition, we are seeking an excellent communicator capable of influencing c-suite and technical audiences with an acute awareness of client relationships.
